# First ever BioJulia community call - Poll

Hello everyone, as discussed at JuliaCon, @jakobnissen and I are planning to host periodic (roughly quarterly) community calls for folks interested in biology, bioinformatics, and related ecosystems, please take [this poll](https://rallly.co/invite/ByksoperyomW) and follow this thread if you are interested – we’re planning to do the first one in early October.

The time of day is not set in stone (I put in 9a my time as a placeholder), but it will be sometime in the afternoon Central European time / morning East Coast US time. Future meetings may rotate or change time so other time zones have an easier time joining, but for the first one, this is what works for Jakob and I to both be able to be there.

Planned discussion topics:

- Summary and follow-up of the Biology/Pharma/Health BoF at JuliaCon findings
- Health of the BioJulia ecosystem and [marking stage of packages](https://github.com/BioJulia/biojulia.github.io/pull/42)
- Near-term plans for the BioJulia Ecosystem
- Anything else?
