# Error in precompiling FFMPEG and Cairo and CairoMakie

This has to be fixed in the registry, but basically you have to update FreeType2\_jll to v2.13.1. Alternatively, update macOS to version 12 which [completely ignores compatibility numbers](https://github.com/giordano/macos-compatibility-version). This is related to the issue discussed in [libGR issue preventing compilation · Issue #525 · jheinen/GR.jl · GitHub](https://github.com/jheinen/GR.jl/issues/525)
