# Error in installing flux?

I have installed v1.0.5

Why are you using Julia v1.0? The current release is 1.5.3, and there’s already a release candidate for 1.6 so your version is quite outdated.

Also with these kinds of compatibility errors in general you should look to work in [environments](https://julialang.github.io/Pkg.jl/v1/environments/) for your projects, rather than trying to dump all packages into the default environment.
