# double installation?

I just installed Julia on a mac via homebrew cask. Then I opened up Atom, which I already had, went to the preferences and entered the path for Julia. I then clicked on Julia-\>open console. The window it opened said “Press enter to start Julia.” I did that, and it then proceeded to install homebrew, cask, and julia, although I’m not sure where it put them.

I don’t want two installations of Julia. How do I fix?

I’m pretty sure Julia is not installed again there. IIRC homebrew is somewhere in Juno’s dependency chain and that’s why it is installed.

That’s what I would have thought, but…

I should have mentioned. When I say it installed homebrew, cask, and julia, that it outputted to the Julia console all the stuff that gets outputted when homebrew, cask, and Julia get installed.
