# Deserialize composite type from JSON

Continuing the discussion from [Serializing composite type to json](https://discourse.julialang.org/t/serializing-composite-type-to-json/1055/3):

What is the closest that I can come to deserializing a composite type from JSON?

I would like to be able to do something akin to  
`deserialize(Foo, JSON.json(Foo("xyz",1.2)))`
