# Decimals.jl: Maintenance needed

JuliaMath/Decimals.jl could use some maintenance ([Should this library be deprecated? · Issue #61 · JuliaMath/Decimals.jl · GitHub](https://github.com/JuliaMath/Decimals.jl/issues/61) and other issues like [Decimal not usable as Dict key: no hash method defined · Issue #35 · JuliaMath/Decimals.jl · GitHub](https://github.com/JuliaMath/Decimals.jl/issues/35) or [Incorrect division of large numbers · Issue #56 · JuliaMath/Decimals.jl · GitHub](https://github.com/JuliaMath/Decimals.jl/issues/56)). I am not a heavy user of that package, but I would like to improve it.

There is a major problem though. There are no active maintainers with merging rights (or they are busy elsewhere). One of the original authors, @tinybike, suggested I ask for merging rights myself. I am not sure who to approach exactly so I created this topic, hoping an administrator would notice.
