# Current status of point cloud processing in Julia?

I’m working with foot impressions in the form of point cloud data and would like to know if there is anyway to work with this data in Julia? One thing I’d like to do with this data is generate 2D contour plots.

Many of the packages that I had come across appear to no longer be maintained. Are there any packages that are being actively developed?

Perhaps [GitHub - eljungsk/ScatteredInterpolation.jl: Interpolation of scattered data](https://github.com/eljungsk/ScatteredInterpolation.jl) may be of interest. Have you tried filing issues on the packages that you are interested in? I find it very difficult to judge if a package is being maintained without making maintenance requests.
