I am looking for current server CPU benchmarks for HPC computing, any sources? This is not only for Julia but also library code (BLAS, FFT, etc.) and other programming languages (mostly interpreted ones, such as R and Python).

Especially interesting is the comparison between Intel and the new AMD processors, I heard that the AMD processors where (still are?) slower for HPC because of fewer floating point pipelines but caught up quite a bit with Zen 2 but Intel still has avx512 (which has its own set of problems). So the whole topic is currently quite complex and confusing and I don’t really have a good overview.

Thanks, really interesting 🙂 Seems like AMD currently is the better choice

[AnandTech](https://www.anandtech.com/bench/CPU-2019/2224) also does a ton of hardware benchmarking.
