# Controlling Blender from Julia using bpy and PythonCall.jl

Yesterday I found your thread (and through it your [updated workflow](https://discourse.julialang.org/t/running-julia-inside-blender-through-vscode-using-pythoncall-juliacall/96838/8)) and have been using it without fuss. I updated the blender version tuple pre-emptively and it was good to go (in 5.1.2). I’m pretty sure any issues I’ve had are due to my freshness with using the bpy API. Just now I searched for the post again to tell friends about it, and here I find you endorsing an alternative. So it goes 😄 Thank you for your work. I’ll check this one out too.  
Might be worth adding to the other thread a link forwarding to this thread, to ferry other stragglers along. My initial search query yesterday being less precise is probably why I didn’t find this page until returning with more specific language.
