We have student and postdoctoral positions in computational condensed matter physics at U. Tennessee, and in collaboration with Oak Ridge and Los Alamos National Labs. The work will focus on the development of numerical methods and their implementation in Julia. These methods will enable simulations of non-equilibrium physics in strongly correlated electron systems, making contact with experimental scattering data. Possible research topics could include: Development of algorithms for stochastic linear algebra, HPC and hybrid GPU/CPU acceleration, and the design of novel computational physics methods generally. There is also space for AI/ML modeling if that is of interest. Our team includes Steve Johnston, Kipton Barros, and Benjamin Cohen-Stead, and our current development efforts include the [Sunny](https://github.com/SunnySuite/Sunny.jl/) and [SmoqySuite](https://github.com/SmoQySuite/) codes. If interested in the postdoctoral position, please respond to the [official job ad](https://tiny.utk.edu/1tf52) and let us know you learned of it on the Julia forums. Student research assistantships may also be available. Please reach out to us directly if you’d like to discuss any of the above topics.
