# Cannot add RxInfer latest version

Although there exists a newer RxInfer package, Julia only downloads v1.0.0 and refuses to update either. I have tried `]update`, but Julia makes no changes to the manifest or the project. I am using the latest 1.8.3 Julia version.

Hey! There might be a problem with your global environment or some other package prevents RxInfer from being updated. The latest available release is `v2.4.1` (which is also used by the `PkgEval` here [PkgEvalJob JuliaLang/julia@7a561bd [2023-01-02]](https://s3.amazonaws.com/julialang-reports/nanosoldier/pkgeval/by_date/2023-01/02/report.html)).
