# Building Julia on windows

Hi,  
I am trying to build Julia from source on windows and it stuck for 1 hour now at the following step:

```julia
mkdir -p bin include/curl lib lib/pkgconfig logs share/aclocal share/licenses/LibCURL share/man/man1 share/man/man3
X86_64-w64-mingw32-ar: creating libutf8proc.a

```

Is it normal? or should I kill it?
