I am using the Julia app Kaimon. After a minor Julia version upgrade it does not start any longer, and I have to re-install it.

- is this normal?
- are there any ideas how to automate that?

I think this is a problem with all Julia apps, that they hardcode the Julia version they’re installed against. That said, I thought it was sufficient to run `pkg> app up Kaimon`, but maybe not?

If that is a general problem, can’t we find a general solution? For example juliaup could check, before deleting a Julia version, if any apps still need it. And if that is the case, ask the user if he wants to update the app(s).

Would that make sense?

It’s definitely a general problem. Personally I just reinstall the missing Julia version when this happens but there’s space to improve this story.
