I’ve recently gotten interested in astrophotography. I’ve seen and used some of the AstroJulia packages, which are great, but I’m wondering if there’s anyone else working on things that especially common for photographers like astrometry.net-style plate solving.

I’m also getting into astrophotography and I was just looking into whether anyone had endeavored to write a plate solver in Julia. I’m using a long focal length setup (8" Ritchey–Chrétien) so that can be a challenge, especially when I have a dense star cluster in the field.

There’s plenty of processing and tools that I’d love to implement in Julia, given the time/potential collaborators.
