# Asking for a user account to be deleted what are the ramifications to existing contributions

Should I ask for my user account to be deleted what are the ramifications related to any “contribution” I have made to julia discourse. Would such contributions be deleted or do I have to request that?

this is just a general question not an indication of intent on my part.

Discourse does not support deleting users. Your account can be anonymized, at which point your posts will be associated with an anonymous account. Similarly, topics aren’t deleted, but they can be archived so that they don’t show up unless someone directly links to them.
