Hi everyone!

I would like to announce a new package called **[Whitebox.jl](https://github.com/acgold/Whitebox.jl)**.

This package provides a Julia frontend for [WhiteboxTools](https://github.com/jblindsay/whitebox-tools), which is an open-source command-line program for geospatial analysis created by [Dr. John Lindsay](https://jblindsay.github.io/ghrg/index.html).

WhiteboxTools contains about [500 tools](https://www.whiteboxgeo.com/manual/wbt_book/available_tools/index.html) that span the topics of Image analysis, hydrologic analysis, LiDAR analysis and more.

**Whitebox.jl** installs WhiteboxTools (v2.1.0) and allows users to run any WhiteboxTools function from Julia.

There are already a few ways to use WhiteboxTools ([R, Python, command line](https://www.whiteboxgeo.com/manual/wbt_book/using_whiteboxtools.html)), but my hope is that Whitebox.jl will simplify workflows for people that want to do more of their geospatial analysis with Julia.
