# \[ANN\] SAMP.jl: Simple Application Messaging Protocol

I am happy to share a still unregistered package that provides a Julia implementation of the [Simple Application Messaging Protocol (SAMP)](https://www.ivoa.net/documents/SAMP/).

SAMP is a messaging protocol that enables astronomy software tools to interoperate and communicate. It is understood by many widely used astronomy programs, including [SAOImage DS9](https://sites.google.com/cfa.harvard.edu/saoimageds9), [TOPCAT](https://www.star.bris.ac.uk/~mbt/topcat/), and [Aladin Sky Atlas](https://aladin.cds.unistra.fr/).

I plan register the package in a short timescale, as soon as I have carried out more tests and collect feedback (always very welcome!).
