# \[ANN\] Julia color themes for VS Code

I’d like to announce the release of **Julia Color Themes** , a VS Code extension with color themes customized for Julia code. **Julia Color Themes** also includes customizations for Python code, so you can switch between Julia and Python files without changing your color theme.

You can install **Julia Color Themes** by entering the Extensions tab in VS Code and searching for “julia” or “julia color themes”, and then hitting the `Install` button underneath **Julia Color Themes**. Alternatively, the extension can be found via [this link](https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=cameronbieganek.julia-color-themes) to the VS Code Marketplace.

**Julia Color Themes** currently includes two themes:

## Monokai Classic

This theme is labeled `Julia (Monokai Classic)` in the theme selector. Monokai Classic is a modified version of the Monokai theme that ships with VS Code.

## Monokai Vibrant

This theme is labeled `Julia (Monokai Vibrant)` in the theme selector. Monokai Vibrant is a modified version of Dylan Marsh’s [Monokai Vibrant](https://github.com/dylantmarsh/monokai-vibrant).
