# ANN: FinEtools (finite element library) design documentation (updated link)

For those who would like to explore FinEtools: I started writing up the documentation of the design of the library.

My aim is to make it rather easy to understand why things work the way they do. Lots of examples is good (which the package already provides), but they don’t explain the why, they only give the how.

I would appreciate comments and suggestions. In particular, I managed to persuade github pages to display mathematics (for instance [https://petrkryslucsd.github.io/FinEtools.jl/machine.html](https://petrkryslucsd.github.io/FinEtools.jl/machine.html)), but the process is cumbersome, and I have to wonder whether there is a better way.…
