# An annoying setting of vscode

I am using vscode.

I find it very annoying that the cursor is automatically set in the editor panel. **That is code!**

The cursor should be automatically set in the REPL panel.

You can edit a file in VSCode without opening a terminal, and you can use one or more terminals without editing a file. If you’re editing a file and **then** open a terminal, the focus switches to the terminal from the editor.

But if you continue to feel very annoyed, you could try opening an issue on [their github](https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues) - I might be wrong but don’t think this is a Julia-specific issue.
