# Allow Changing Usernames

Would the Admins here be willing to allow username changes? It looks like [there’s an option](https://meta.discourse.org/t/user-has-no-option-to-change-username/62451/2) to allow username changes, but it has to be enabled by the administrators. Thanks!

I think right now you can just message a moderator or admin to request a different username.
